Obituary of James D. Lewis

James Delno Lewis (Jimmy), 69, of Fairmont, died peacefully surrounded by his family on April 21, 2026. Jimmy was born in Fairmont WV, the son of Mary Louise William and Elett Delno Lewis. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Patricia A Lewis. In addition to his wife he is survived by his mother Mary Louise Williams, son Matthew and his wife Sierra Lewis, his daughter Melissa and her husband Nathon Westfall of Fairmont. His brothers: Rex Lewis, Bill Prince, and Donnie Lewis of Fairmont. His sisters Loucille Kellogg of Michigan, Mary Rogers of Fairmont, Christine Williams of Morgantown, Laura Lewis of Florida, and Christal Drake of Fairmont. Six grandchildren: Olivia Lewis, Emmitt Westfall, Parker Lewis, Owen Westfall, Ellie Lewis and Mia Lewis, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Elett Delno Lewis. Jimmy was a graduate of East Fairmont High School. Jimmy was a retired Maintenance Supervisor from Pepsi Cola Bottling Company, where he served for 46 years. He was avid hunter, Nascar enthusiast, and a member of the Fairmont Elks Lodge #294. Jimmy enjoyed hosting cookouts/barbecues with family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with all his grandchildren, spending time at the camp in Cabins, and taking his grandchildren on side by side rides. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. Friends will be received on Monday, April 27, 2026 from 1 pm until 8 pm and again on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 10 am until 11 am. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 am with Reverend Jim Zinn officiating. Entombment will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery & Mausoleum, Fairmont.
