Obituary of Debra Ann Dzielski

Debra Ann Dzielski was born December 11th 1961 in Fairmont, West Virginia, and entered her eternal rest March 14th 2026 while receiving care at United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, West Virginia. She is preceded by her mother, Barbara A. Harbert Dzielski and father, Frank Dzielski, Jr. both of Fairmont. Debbie, as she was known by her friends and family, grew up in Fairmont and was a member of the 1980 graduating class of Fairmont Senior High School. Though she graduated with honors, it was her singing ability that earned her a four-year scholarship at Alderson Broaddus College, performing nationally and internationally with The West Virginians show choir. Debbie had a degree in Psychology from AB and a teaching degree from Fairmont State College that she applied while teaching high school English in Berkeley County, West Virginia. After a short time teaching, Debbie pursued a masters in counseling at CBN University of Virginia Beach, Virginia, where she worked as a counselor, answering thousands of calls providing prayer and encouragement to the partners of the Christian Broadcasting Network. She loved Jesus and had a gift of evangelism, touching many lives with the love of Christ. Later in life, she was an in-home care giver and would share how much she enjoyed the company of her clients, calling them her “close friends.” Debbie was a member of Centerbranch Church in Bridgeport and was very active in the Connect Group ministry as a participant and a co-leader. She was loved greatly and will be missed by her family, friends and her neighbors in the Harmony Valley Retirement Community where she lived. Debbie is survived by her two brothers, Frank A. Dzielski and wife Kathy of Nutter Fort, and Dale G. Dzielski and his wife Regina of Fairmont; her nieces, Amanda Weimer and husband Terry of Fairmont, Bethany Jarmul and husband Joshua, Lauren Millero and husband Zach both of Gibsonia, PA, and one nephew, Joshua Dzielski and wife Jessica of Barrackville. Debbie greatly enjoyed and loved her great nieces, Gloria, Raelynn, Talia, Elise, Avery, Emberlee, Ella, and great nephews, Asher and Owen. A celebration of life for Debbie will be held on Sunday, March 29th 2026 at 6 p.m. at Trinity Assembly of God, Maranatha Drive Whitehall, WV and is open to all.
