Obituary of Petrina Ann Oliverio Bonamico
Petrina Ann Oliverio Bonamico, 60, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. She was born on April 26, 1965, a daughter of Shirley C. Donnellan Oliverio and the late Pete “Sonny” Oliverio. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Nunzio A. Bonamico, Jr.
Petrina was a 1983 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Clarksburg, and a faithful member of All Saints Catholic Church in Bridgeport. She was the proud owner and operator of Oliverio’s Ristorante in Bridgeport, where she dedicated her time and effort for over 35 years of service. Petrina enjoyed hiking, camping, and skiing, especially at Timberline. She loved sports, including, baseball, football, tennis and spending time at Tygart Lake, swimming and boating. Her favorite era of her life was her 40s, when all of her children were active in sports activities of all kinds.
In addition to her husband and mother, Petrina is survived by her children, Maria Scudere and her husband James of Bridgeport and their children, James Anthony and Sylvie, Nunzio Bonamico III of Bridgeport, Anthony Bonamico and his wife Maddi of Fairmont, and Dante Bonamico and his wife Landyn of Bridgeport and their daughter, Genevieve. She is also survived by her brothers, Pat Oliverio and his wife Carla of Bridgeport, Phil Oliverio and his wife Beth of Bridgeport, sisters, Patti Simon and her husband Jim of Bridgeport, and Polly Oliverio of Morgantown, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, Petrina was preceded in death by her brother, Pete Oliverio.

The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, Allen Chapel, 215 E. Main Street, Bridgeport. Friends and family will be received at the All Saints Catholic Church, 317 E Main St, Bridgeport, WV 26330, on Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. The Vigil Service will be held in the church Sunday evening at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue in the church on Monday, February 23, 2026 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. The Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be held in the church on Monday at 10 a.m. with Reverend Father Walt Jagela as Celebrant.
