Obituary of Carol Lee Bartges

Carol Lee Bartges, 75, of Baxter, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at her residence surrounded my family. She was born November 19, 1950, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Betty Stevens. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stanley “Cooter” Bartges. Carol enjoyed gardening, working outside, reading, working puzzles, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, Jeffery Warnick of Baxter; her son, Michael Warnick of Capon Bridge; her daughter, Melanie Angle of Fairmont; her daughter, Rachel Riley of Fairmont; and her son, Thomas Bartges and fiancée, Michaela, of Baxter, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Robert “Bob” Stevens; her sister, Linda Bienkoski; her granddaughter, Nicole Frank; her son-in-law, George Angle; and her son-in-law, Dave Riley. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second Street, Rivesville, WV 26588.
