Helen was one of the lights of my childhood — the kind of person whose kindness shaped you without you even realizing it at the time.
When I was young, Helen and Frank took me to Sunday school every week. Later, after we moved to the other side of town, I would walk to meet them — and they were always there. Steady. Faithful. Welcoming. That consistency meant more than I can ever fully express.
Helen’s impact on my spirituality is something I carry with me to this day. She didn’t just teach faith; she lived it. Her kindness was gentle but powerful, the kind that made you feel safe, seen, and loved.
Some people leave their mark through grand gestures. Helen did it through small, faithful acts of love week after week. I am forever grateful for the foundation she helped lay in my life.
May her memory be a blessing, and may the same kindness she poured into others continue to ripple outward for generations.
