Obituary of Judith Ann Krehel

Judith Ann Krehel, 77, of Monongah, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the Bridgeport Healthcare Center in Bridgeport, WV. She was born on October 12, 1948 in West Orange, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Gannon. Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband in 2015, John Paul Krehel. Judy was a graduate of Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Montclair, New Jersey and a devout Catholic throughout her life. She was a hard worker, as she worked at Prudential Life Insurance Company, numerous department stores, and worked most recently as a cashier at Walmart in Ohio. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching tv, including crime themed programs, listening to music, and spending precious time with her friends and family, especially her children and grandchildren. Judy is survived by her children, Kimberly Krehel of Monongah, and David Krehel of Newark, OH, brothers, Rich Gannon, and Michael Gannon, both of New Jersey, six grandchildren, John Krehel, Matt Krehel, Brian Krehel, Steven Krehel and his wife Witt, Amanda Krehel, and Natalia Villers, as well as two great grandchildren, Gabbi and Vivian Villers. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and close friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Gannon. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. In accordance with Judy’s wishes, cremation services will occur.
