Obituary of Evelyn Grace DiTosti Bish
Evelyn Grace DiTosti Bish, 92, passed away peacefully at Fazio’s Elder Care on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. She was born January 2, 1934, in Fairmont to Michael and Frances Caccone DiTosti. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jack Bish.
Evelyn was a 1951 graduate of East Fairmont High School and a 1955 graduate of Fairmont State College with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. She was employed by Marion County Schools where she taught for 33 years at State Street School with most of those years in 5th grade. Evelyn was a member of Valley Chapel United Methodist Church. Evie, as she was known to her friends and family, was a kind and gentle soul. She took great pride in the upkeep of her home and surroundings. Evie was a devoted wife and mother. Friends and family always looked forward to Evie’s Christmas Eve lasagna where the plates were always hot.
In addition to her parents and husband, Evie was preceded in death by her siblings, Dr. Robert DiTosti, Herbert and Mabel Tosti, and Virginia T. Hill.
Evie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Bish and John Marunich; sister-in-law, Carole DiTosti; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Fazio’s Elder Care for their care and compassion the last three years and to WV Caring Hospice and Palliative Care. They are indebted to Joretta, Susie, Jimmy, and Crystal for the love and care they gave to Evie and Jack.

The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. The memorial service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 12 noon with Reverend Andrew Tennant officiating.
