Obituary of Megan LeAnn Stevulak Coburn
Megan LeAnn Stevulak Coburn, 35, of Rivesville passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. She was born July 22, 1990, in Morgantown, a daughter of Joetta L. Clites Bliss and Stepfather Mike Bliss and Father Joseph Matthew Stevulak. Megan is survived by her husband of 12 years, Joseph Brian Coburn and daughter Zayleigh Briella Coburn.
In addition to her husband, daughter, and parents, Megan is survived by; sister, Jalynn Stevulak and brother Joey Stevulak. Aunts and Uncles, Don Clark, Mike Stevulak and his wife Nancy, John Stevulak and his wife Barb, Jim Stevulak and his wife Melinda, Mark Stevulak, Mary Kay Wrenn and her husband Jeff, Sherrie Riggleman and her husband Jim, Josephine Sloneker; Rich and wife Sheila Clites. Megan had many cousins including Brittany Sloneker, Lara Kiger, Vanessa Shoemaker sharing a close special bond, nieces, Matty and Olivia; as well as sister-in-law, Chrystal Levtov and her husband Eugene.
Megan was preceded in death by grandparents, John and Pauline Stevulak and William and Mary Etta Clites, as well as Aunt Debbie Clites, Uncle Billy Jo Clites, Aunt Carol Clark and cousins Michael “Mikie” Stevulak, and Jody A. Stevulak.
Megan was Christian by faith. She was a graduate of Mapletown High School, Fairmont State University and WVU with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She was a devoted mother and homemaker and previously worked as an Early Childhood Educator at WVU Medicine Childhood Development Center. Megan could brighten anyone’s day up with her smile. She was a loving and devoted mother to her daughter Zayleigh. Megan participated in PTO and helped with any school activities. With her teaching background, she always supported everything that helped kids learn. She was creative and loved to decorate and go “all out” for holidays and birthday parties. Megan took special care in dressing her daughter for school and took her picture daily to record the day. She loved her family and devoted all her energy to making all the family gatherings special; she was “all about” family. Megan dabbled in photography and took pictures of everything, wanting to record every moment of family history. Above all she was a great mother, wife, and our best friend!
The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second Street, Rivesville, WV. Friends and family are invited to visit the family at the funeral home on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 7 p.m. with Pastor Tim Tanner officiating.
