She has been laid to rest in the arms of our Heavenly Father The Lord let us borrow our Aunt but today, we say, “until we meet again. Jesus, decided it was time for her to come home. Today, this world, heaven and earth both lean in a little closer. There will be a whole crowd from heaven there too—standing just beyond what we can see, cheering her on like she just crossed the finish line. Heaven gates opened wide and let her in.
“We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.” — Romans 5:3–4
We rejoice with a promise that today’s goodbye doesn’t have to be permanent. And if we allow Him in, Jesus has prepared a place for us too… and time will be no longer. It’s as if our loved one never left us. And tears no longer fall.
Jesus Himself stood at the grave of His friend Lazarus, knowing full well He was about to raise him from the dead—and still, Scripture says, “Jesus wept” (John 11:35). Not because He lacked power. But because love always grieves.
God is not offended by our tears. He collects them. Psalm 34:18 lays it out like this: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit”
Here’s the truth we cling to when our hands are shaking: death may feel loud, but it is not the loudest voice in the room. Love is. Hope is. Resurrection is.

She stepped into a place where tears are wiped away, where pain doesn’t get the final word, where joy is not borrowed—it’s permanent.
And we trust the promise of Jesus Himself: “Because I live, you also will live” (John 14:19) Aunt Anita Heaven is throwing a party for you today! The truth to be knowing I am a little bit jealous!
