Obituary of Ethan John Boore
Ethan John Boore, 35, of Barrackville, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at home in Barrackville. He was born on February 15, 1990 in Fairmont, a son of Susan K. and John R. Boore (Tonya).
In addition to his parents, Ethan is survived by his two children, Kolten and Raylynn Boore, siblings, Nancy Duckworth (Murranda), Timothy Boore (Amie), Rachel Boore (Wendell), Seth Boore-Spring (A.J.), Abra Worthy (Dylan), as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Ethan was a 2009 North Marion High School graduate and an accomplished welder, an occupation he loved and took great pride in. He was a faithful employee of D&M, Inc. in Fairmont.
Ethan was an instantly likeable person with the biggest heart, especially for children. His Kolten and Raylynn were his world and they adored him. He was fun and full of energy with them. Always willing to play, especially physical activities, he was extremely patient in teaching them skills from building, painting crafts or mowing grass. He would do anything he could to help family and friends. Putting things together was a special skill he took pride in, even without directions.
Growing up, Ethan was “all boy”, loving sports in school participating in basketball, track, and football while at North Marion. Anything outdoor was his world. The last couple years, he worked diligently to get a very rock-filled patch of land tilled and prepared for his mother to realize a dream of gardening.
He was a protector soul for all around him that he cared about but, unfortunately, not for himself. That trait sadly overcame.
The absence of his life and his presence will affect all who knew him for the rest of our lives; his parents, his siblings, his children, family and friends. It will be a void that will never fill.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ethan’s memory to any local drug intervention agency, such as the Marion County QRT (Quick Response Team). The QRT Connection line is 304-278-4025.
The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. Cremation services will occur, with no public services. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fordfuneralhomes.com.
