Obituary of Etta Lynn Kisner Slack

Etta Lynn Kisner Slack, 81, of Fairmont, went home to be with the Lord on the early morning hours of Friday, January 9, 2026 at the Morgantown Healthcare Center. She was born on September 2, 1944 in Fairmont, the daughter of the late Richard D. and Virginia M. Lee Kisner. Etta was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Slack. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ with all her heart. She was a loving, giving person who always thought of others rather than herself. Etta was a proud 1962 graduate of East Fairmont High School and Fairmont State College. She found great joy in spending precious time with her family. “We were so blessed to have her and will miss her dearly”. Etta is survived by her brothers, Donald and Denis “Denny” Kisner, both of Morgantown, and sister, Elizabeth “Carol” Kisner Reese and her husband Charles of Fairmont. In addition to her parents and husband, Etta was preceded in death by her sister, Margie Kisner Cain. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. In accordance with Etta’s wishes, cremation services will occur.
