Obituary of Jeffrey Cam Henderson
Jeffrey Cam Henderson, 66, of White Hall, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his wife and children. He was born January 15, 1959, in Fairmont, West Virginia, a son of the late Guy and Wanda Pitman Henderson. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Jodi A. Kosik Henderson.
Jeff attended Covenant Church in Fairmont and was a 1977 graduate of Fairmont Senior High School. He retired from the Marion County Board of Education, where he worked as a school bus driver for over 40 years. Following his retirement, he was employed by the United States Postal Service as a rural carrier, delivering packages. He also worked for the Marion County Rescue Squad and was a volunteer firefighter for the Barrackville Fire Department.
Jeff was a history buff and, when he was younger, enjoyed attending Civil War reenactments with his mother. He was a trivia champ, loved watching game shows, and playing light karaoke in the car. Jeff was also a collector of all things, believing every object had a special purpose or use for a later date. He enjoyed going on vacations with his family, and no matter the destination, as long as his family was there, it was his favorite place to travel.
Jeff was an extremely hard worker and dedicated his life to serving others and his family, never turning down an opportunity to help someone—whether it was giving someone a ride to school, helping with someone’s run at the postal service, or assisting his wife with transporting their critters to and from the groomer or veterinarian. He loved sports and always attended his daughters’ activities, either by volunteering to drive the bus or as a loving father cheering from the bench. The newest bundle of joy in Jeff's life was his grandson Cameron "Cam", who he was so excited to see and hold even while in the hospital. Jeff always had a smile on his face, and even while hospitalized and not feeling his best, he continued to greet nurses and visitors with his signature fist bump. Jeff was a quiet man, but he will not be easily forgotten.
In addition to his wife, Jeff is survived by his daughters, Emylea and her husband, Charles Robinson, of Fairmont, and Madison and her husband, David Taylor, of Fairmont; his grandson, Cameron Edward Taylor; his sister, Joy, and her husband, Rock Marino, of Virginia; his sisters-in-law, Mary Pat Cowen of North Carolina and Kristi Kosik of Quakertown, Pennsylvania; and his brother-in-law, James Kosik and his wife, Heidi, of Fairmont, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his brothers, David “Crazy Dave” Henderson and Allen Henderson, and his sister, Judith Betonte.
