Obituary of Patricia Lou Reese Kincaid
Patricia Lou Reese Kincaid, 78, of Fairmont, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born September 8, 1947 in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Odie Mayford and Opal Legg Reese. She was preceded in death by her husband Allen “Al” Lawrence Kincaid on February 10, 2024.
Pattie was a member of the Mt. Sharon Free Methodist Church and a graduate of East Fairmont High School. She began her career at Westinghouse in Fairmont. She then worked for the Marion County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office as an office manager until her retirement. After retiring, she worked for Hodges and Riffle Attorneys at Law as the office manager for many years. Pattie and her husband owned and operated Kincaid Construction Company in Fairmont of which she managed all the book work.
Pattie served as the treasurer for many years of the Sage Brush Roundup. She enjoyed listening to live country music, especially at the Sage Brush Roundup and the Winfield Community Building. She loved doing ceramics and had a kiln in her home. She and her husband spent lots of time traveling to car shows both out of town and locally.
Pattie is survived by her daughters Brenda K. Kincaid and her companion Allen Summers of Fairmont, and Lori M. Kincaid and her companion Joseph Kramer of Fairmont, her grandchildren: Tanner Allen and his wife Sydney M. Holbert of Lumberport, Makenzie Allyn Hawkinberry of Fairmont, and Jacie Reese Weaver of Fairmont, as well as her grandchild, Karson Allen Holbert. She is also survived by her brothers, David Reese of Fairmont, and Gerald and his wife Idris Reese of Florida.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Pattie was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Hostutler.
The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. Friends and family may visit the funeral home on Monday, December 22, 2025 from 4PM until 8 PM, and on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 from 10 AM until 11AM. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 11 AM with Pastor K.P. Musgrove officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery and Mausoleum.
