Obituary of (Lucy) Corinne Stephenson

(Lucy) Corinne Stephenson, age 99, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025 in Charlotte, NC where she had been living for the last six years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Stephenson, in 2008 Corinne was born February 20, 1926 in Winterpark, FL, a daughter of the late John M. and Esther L. Cooley Keefer. She grew up in Medina, Ohio and graduated from Medina High School in 1944. She attended Ohio State University majoring in General Business, and graduating in 1948. She met her husband, Harold, at the Baptist Youth Fellowship at OSU and they married on September 5, 1948. She moved to Toledo, Ohio and worked as an office assistant until her children were born. In 1969, the family moved to Fairmont, WV where she lived for 50 years. She was involved in church activities and had many friends. She and her husband enjoyed following sport teams and camping in their RV. Corinne is survived by her children: Sandy Friend of Winterville, North Caolina, Linda Bonasso of Charlotte, North Carolina and her husband Mike, and her son Todd Stephenson and wife Debra of Boiling Springs, South Carolina. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Corinne was a born again believer in Jesus Christ and very much looked forward to her heavenly transition. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. Family and friends are welcome to visit on Monday, December 22, 2025 from 11AM until 12 noon. The funeral will be held in the funeral home at 12 noon with Pastor Bill Preston officiating. Interment will follow at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover, WV.
