Obituary of Nancy Lee (Husk) Persinger
Nancy Lee (Husk) Persinger, 75, of Bridgeport, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025 at the United Hospital Center. She was born on November 11, 1950 in Richwood, WV, the daughter of the late John W. and Roberta “Boat” Hutchinson Husk. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Donald Richard “Rick” Persinger.
Nancy was a proud 1968 graduate of Richwood High School and the Clarksburg Beauty School. She was a faithful member of Bridgeport United Methodist Church, where she had a special group of family, especially her Saturday night Bible Study group. Nancy worked in the Accounting Department at B.F. Goodrich and as a Call Receptionist with Mon Power for many years. She loved the beach, swimming, crafting, planting flowers, and spending precious time with her friends and family.
In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by her son, Mark Wesley McKenzie and his wife Amy of Charleston, WV, daughter, Megan Cioppa and her husband Mark of Pittsburgh, PA, grandson, Nicholas Wesley McKenzie, and brother, John Wesley Husk of Parkersburg, WV.
Memorial contributions may be made in Nancy's memory to the Bridgeport United Methodist Church Permanent Fund, 251 Worthington Drive, Bridgeport, WV 26330.
The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Allen Chapel, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport. In accordance with Nancy’s wishes, cremation services will occur. Friends will be received at the Bridgeport United Methodist Church, 251 Worthington Drive, Bridgeport, on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 11 am until 1 pm. The memorial service will be held in the church on Thursday at 1 pm with Reverend Dr. Matthew Paugh and Reverend Steve Engle officiating.
