Obituary of Janice Elaine Petrigac

Janice Elaine Petrigac, 77, of Bridgeport, peacefully passed away in her home on Thursday, December 4, 2025. She was born on January 13, 1948, a daughter to the late James Harvey and Alma Louise McEldowney. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Francis Andrew Petrigac. Janice was a proud 1965 graduate of Bridgeport High School and worked at the United Hospital Center in Registration and Insurance with over 25 years of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of All Saints Catholic Church in Bridgeport, and was a die-hard West Virginia Mountaineer fan. In addition to her husband, Janice is survived by her daughter, Kelly Jo Cress and her husband John of Morgantown, her grandchildren, Andrew P. Queen of Clarksburg, Austin J. Queen of Clarksburg, and Hanna Moore, of Australia. Janice is also survived by her special friend, Sandy Cropp of Conway, South Carolina. In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her siblings, James McEldowney, Gary McEldowney, and Shirley Calif. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Allen Chapel, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV 26330. Friends will be received in the funeral home on Monday, December 8, 2025 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. The Vigil Service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 7:30 p.m. The Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be held on Tuesday December 9, 2025 at All Saints Catholic Church, 317 E Main St, Bridgeport, WV 26330 at 10 a.m. with Reverend Father Walter Jagela presiding.
