Obituary of Barbara Jean (Miller) Walton

Barbara Jean (Miller) Walton, 58, or Fairmont, peacefully passed away in her home on Thursday, November 13, 2025. She was born on August 14, 1967, a daughter to the late Charles Waitman and Virginia Nixon Miller. Barbara was the proud owner and operator of her own construction company in Fairmont. She attended Fairmont Senior High School and also attended trade school in Morgantown, WV. Barbara spent her free time drawing, creating artwork, mirror etching, and wood working. She had a special place in her heart for her two dogs, Daisey and Little Man. Barbara is survived by her children, Dwayne Miller of Fairmont, Barbara Miller of Fairmont, and April Walton of Fairmont. She is also survived by her siblings, Roger Miller Sr. and his wife Fonda, James Miller and his wife Brenda, William Miller, Jack Miller, and David Miller, her grandchildren, Elisha Morgan, Mecca Childress, Zackary Phares, and Dewayne Waitman Miller, along with her best friend and Dad of April, Roy Towns, and good friends, Robin Wilson, Sharon Sumpter, and Louis McLaughlin. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brothers, Lewis, Danny, Steven, Robert, and Charles Miller Jr., and her sisters, Nancy Miller, Thelma Stanley, and Carolyn Stewart, and daughter-in-law, Sarah Miller. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel 201 Columbia Street Fairmont, WV 26554.
