Obituary of Darlene Joyce Emerick

Darlene Joyce (Lilley) Emerick, 78, peacefully passed away in her home on Sunday, November 9, 2025. She was born on June 20, 1947, a daughter to the late Harold and Hannah Smith Lilley. She is survived by her loving husband, Charles “Chuck” V. Emerick. In addition to her husband, Darlene is survived by her children, Matthew Cain of Kingmont, and Jennifer White of Romney, WV. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Ben and Bella Cain. In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her daughter in 1991, Kimberly Cain, her siblings, Charles Lilley, David Lilley. Donald Lilley, Elizabeth “Peggy” Lilley, and Anita Harker. Darlene was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School. She lived in Virginia for 35 years and moved back to Fairmont in 2023. She worked at American Disposal in accounting and collections with 24 years of service. Darlene enjoyed her favorite TV programs and spending time with her loving family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. In accordance with Darlene’s wishes, cremation service will occur.
