Obituary of Cheryl Dawn (Morris) Tate

Cheryl Dawn (Morris) Tate, 58, of Baxter, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 5, 1967, a daughter to Larney “Skip” Floyd and Wanda Louise Poling Morris. In addition to her parents, Cheryl is survived by her brothers, Edward Morris and his wife Jennifer of Rivesville, and Kenny Morris and his wife Heather of Straights Run. Cheryl is also survived by her niece and nephew, Carey and Caden Morris. Cheryl was a 1985 graduate of Rivesville High School and the West Virginia Business College. She worked as a Departments Manager for Walmart with 21 years of service. One of her favorite things in life was being a beloved aunt to her niece and nephew. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second Street, Rivesville, WV 26588. Friends and family will be received in the funeral home on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 10a.m. until 2p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2p.m. with Reverend David Stilgenbauer as Celebrant.
