Obituary of Robert "Bob" Eugene Twigg
Robert “Bob” Eugene Twigg, 89, passed from this life peacefully at his home in Bridgeport on October 15, 2025, under the loving care of his youngest son, Brad.
Bob was born May 30, 1936, in Clarksburg to the late Murl and Amanda Twigg and graduated from Washington Irving High School in 1955. His work life began with his father in their family business Twigg Transfer and Hauling and later included Conwood Corp., Lang Brothers, Development Drilling and lastly the WV Department of Highways where he drove truck and also conducted CDL road testing for more than two decades. In his earlier years he loved the outdoors, especially camping, boating, and fishing with his son.
Bob was a 50-year member of Late Lodge No. 63 A.F. & A.M., Bridgeport, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason with membership in the Clarksburg, Wheeling and Parkersburg Bodies, and a member of the Central WV Shrine Club, Nemesis Temple, Clarksburg. He was a Veteran and member of American Legion Post 13, Clarksburg.
He is survived by his son James Twigg and his companion Janet Moss, Elkins WV; son Brad Twigg, Linn WV; stepdaughter Dede Rader Kelly, Bridgeport WV; grandchildren Braden Twigg, Carlsbad NM; Kinley Twigg, Linn WV; Jennifer Kelly, Clarksburg; great-granddaughter Arianna Viglianco, Bridgeport and great-grandson Gavin Snider and his mother Myriah Jenkins, Clarksburg. He is also survived by his sister Beth Devericks, Greensburg PA.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Delores “Dottie” Twigg in May 2020; stepson Randy Rader, grandson Corey Snider, and great-grandchildren Asher Peck and Paislee Twigg.
The family would like to thank WVU Hospice for their wonderful care and assistance during the last three weeks of Bob’s life.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, Allen Chapel, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport. Friends will be received on Monday, October 20, 2025 from 11 am until 1 pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 1 pm with Reverend Dr. Dale Waters officiating. A service of committal will follow at the Bridgeport Cemetery, where masonic ritualistic services will be conducted by the Late Lodge No. 63 A.F. & A.M, Bridgeport.
