Obituary of Nancy Lynn Aspinall

Nancy Lynn Aspinall, 77, of Fairmont, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born on May 11, 1948 in Weston, WV, the daughter of the late Clarence M. and Edythe C. Kerrigan Aspinall Bagwell. Nancy was a 1966 graduate of Weston High School and a faithful member of Benton’s Ferry United Methodist Church, where she served as the treasurer for many years. She also served as the Administrative Secretary for over 45 years with the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed cooking, crafting, word games, and puzzles. She is survived by her loving son, Michael Scott Aspinall of Fairmont, brothers, Charlie Aspinall and partner Fonda Bush of Weston, James Bagwell and wife Carolyn of Fairmont, Ronald Bagwell and wife Ruth of Fairmont, sisters, Wanda Fultz of Frederick, MD, Diana Conner of Fairmont, Jackie Kovack and husband Michael of Rivesville, and brother-in-law, Dallas “Junior” Goddard of Wileyville, WV, as well as several nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her church family and dog, Layla. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother-in-laws, Morris Fultz and George Conner, sister, Patricia Goddard, sister-in-law, Brenda Bagwell, and nephews, Jason Goddard, Michael "Joey" Kovack, and Robbie Kovack. Memorial contributions may be made in Nancy’s name to the Benton’s Ferry United Methodist Church, 1023 Riverview Drive, Pleasant Valley, WV 26554. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. Friends will be received on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 6 pm until 8 pm and again on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 10 am until 11 am. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday with Reverend Jackie Chambers and Reverend Andrew Tennant officiating.
