Obituary of Sharon Jean Kyer

Sharon Jean Kyer, 73, of Fairmont, West Virginia, entered into the arms of her Savior on September 15th, 2025. Born June 19, 1952, Sharon was the daughter of Grace Fern Eby, and was blessed to be lovingly raised by Jeanette and Orval Wagner. A proud graduate of East Fairmont High School’s Class of 1970, Sharon made her life in the Fairmont community, where she was known for her warmth, faith, and gentle spirit. Her love for Jesus was the center of her life, and she shared that love with everyone she met. Sharon’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her son, Arlie Ashby. Her grandchildren, Arlie and Arin Ashby. Together they were an important part of her story and her heart. She cherished her siblings and her many nieces and nephews. Sharon’s life was defined not by what she had, but by the love she gave and the faith she carried. She will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and her unconditional love. Her family and friends will treasure the many memories they shared with her and find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in her eternal home. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. A graveside service of committal will be held for Sharon on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens at 12 noon with Evangelist Brent Gallagher as celebrant.
