Obituary of James "Jim" Jackson Markley

James “Jim” Jackson Markley, 75, of Fairmont passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025, at his home. He was born on January 14, 1950, son of the late George Thomas Markley and Beaulah Dale Adams Markley. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Lynn Waters Markley; sons, James M. Markley, Richard Markley, Patrick Markley, Brian Markley, and Shawn Markley; daughters, Robin Blair and Brenda Booth; grandsons, Jackson Markley, Mason Markley, Conner Markley, Adam Markley, Zackery Markley, Ethan Blair, Logan Blair, Caleb Booth, Benjamen Booth, and Landon Black; granddaughters, Bella Markley, Haleigh Markley, Emma Markley, Maggie Markley, Jamie Markley, Sophia Blair, Amelia Markley, Makayla Black, Abby Black, and Peyton Black; and great-grandchildren, Dalton and Weston Markley. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Booth; granddaughter, Adah Belle Markley; brothers, George, Fred, Frank, and Tom; and sisters, Edith, Hazel, Toby, Dale, and Ethel. Jim loved coaching Little League and Senior League baseball. He also worked in different children’s ministries and outreaches. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 7 p.m. with Pastor Brandon Rohrbacher and Pastor Walter Rohrbacher officiating.
