Obituary of Rose Marie Sapp Masters

Rose Marie Sapp Masters, 60, of Fairmont, formerly of Rivesville, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born January 11, 1965 in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Sherman Sapp, Jr. and Mary Fisher Sapp. Rose was employed with ResCare where she served as a direct support professional for over sixteen years. She had previously worked with Wishing Well Nursing Home in Fairmont. Rose was a dedicated employee and loved helping people within her occupation. In her spare time, Rose enjoyed playing her luck on the machines. She had her favorite, she liked to play, at J&J Café in Fairmont. She loved all animals, but especially her son’s dog. She is survived by her son, Landon J. Sapp of Fairmont, her boyfriend Donnie Bock of Fairmont, her siblings: Sherman Sapp and Sharon Louise Cox, as well as several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: David Sapp and Susan Layman Memorial donations may be made towards Rose’s funeral costs to DeGarmo Funeral Home c/o Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second Street, Rivesville, WV 26588. In accordance with her wishes, cremation services will be held.
