Obituary of Sheila Louise (Groat) Welton

Sheila Louise (Groat) Welton, 60, of Fairmont, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. She was born on May 7, 1965 in Fairmont, the daughter of the late Frederick and Penellope Kellar Groat. Sheila loved to talk with those around her. She was known to have a servant’s heart, as she would help care for anyone in need. She loved her animals and enjoyed spending precious time with her family and friends, especially her sons and grandchildren. Sheila is survived by her loving sons, Trent Fisher and his companion Kendra Snow, Austin, Blosser, Ben Harris, all of Fairmont, brother, Richard Groat of Fairmont, as well as her two grandchildren, Annabelle and Jordan Newbraugh. In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by her two brothers, Fred and Randy Groat, and her sister, Sherry Groat. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second Street, Rivesville. In accordance with her wishes, cremation services will occur.
