Obituary of John Anthony Pellegrin, Sr.

John Anthony Pellegrin, Sr., 81, of Fairmont, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. He was born on June 13, 1944, a son to the late Dominick and Josephine Egidi Pellegrin. He is survived by his sons, John Anthony Pellegrin Jr. and his wife Leeann of Fairmont, and David Joseph Pellegrin of Fairmont; his brother, Richard Pellegrin and his wife Kathern of Fairmont; and his grandchildren, Alexander Pellegrin, Kyle Pellegrin, Matthew Westfall and his fiancée Kristen Hardman, and Ryan Umina and his wife Beth Lynn, along with four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Ann Lavorata and her husband Larry, and his grandson, Justin Umina. John was a 1962 graduate of East Fairmont High School and attended Fairmont State College. He retired from the United States Army Reserves, and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fairmont. John worked as an Estimator and Salesman for Industrial Resources. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his motorcycles, attending various motorcycle rallies throughout the years, shooting sports, and was an avid gun collector. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. A Vigil Service will be held Thursday evening in the funeral home at 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held for John on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 11 a.m. with Father Varaparla Kishore, HGN officiating.
