
Obituary of Calvin Eugene Bray
Calvin Eugene Bray, 87, of Morgantown passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at New Horizon Senior Living Center in Kingwood. Calvin was born in Clarksburg on October 13, 1937, a son of the late James Lonnie Bray and Eulah Mildred Gerrard Bray.
Calvin is survived by his wife, Donna Margaret Burton Bray; son, Greg Bray and his wife Cindy of Farmington; daughters, Ginger Henderson of Warner Robins, GA and Beth Niggemyer and her husband Mark of Fairmont; step-son, Captain David E. Fowler, U.S.N. (Ret.) and his wife Valerie of Jacksonville, FL; step-daughter, Dr. Susan McCoy of Madison; grandchildren, Raianna Rotunda, Alex Rotunda, Tyler Bray, Carrie Keener and her husband Cam, and Kyle Henderson; step-grandchildren, Courtney Chiaramonte and her husband Patrick, Jeffrey McCoy II, Hunter McCoy and his wife Jenna, Eva Fowler, Julia Fowler, and Andrew Fowler; great grandchildren, Gavin Arnold, Trinity Arnold, Lucas Keener, and Braelyn Henderson; step-great grandchildren, Natalie Chiaramonte, Casen Chiaramonte, Dior McCoy, and Tyson McCoy; daughter-in-law, Kathy Bray of Fairmont; and sister-in-law, Nancy Bray of Goochland, VA.
In addition to his parents, Calvin was preceded in death by a son, Keith Bray; brothers, Jim and Jerry Bray; sister, Joan Duvall; a granddaughter, Taylor Clemenza Goodwin; and son-in-law, Dr. Jeffrey McCoy.
Calvin was a 1955 graduate of East Fairmont High School and served as a mechanic in the Air Force in the Tac Tankers Refueling Squadron from 1955 until 1959 and 1960 until 1961. Calvin worked as a welding instructor at the Monongalia County Vocational Technical Center, as a truck driver hauling new cars for Teamsters, and driving for Frozen Enterprises. He was a member of the Pricketts Fort Memorial Foundation, enjoyed hunting and traveling, and participated in the Richard Petty Driving Experience twice.
