Obituary of Victoria Jane "Vicki" Timms
Victoria Jane “Vicki” Timms, 69, of Fairmont, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Mon General Hospital after a brave and courageous battle with cancer.
Vicki was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and loyal friend. She is survived by her husband and best friend, Gary Timms; her daughter, Tonya Timms-Barber, and son-in-law, Jeremy Barber; and her two beloved granddaughters, Jocleynn and Brooklynn Barber, who were the absolute lights of her life. Her family meant everything to her, and she never missed a chance to brag about her girls or cheer them on in all they did.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray “Pete” Woy Sr. and Lois Woy; her brother, Ray “Butch” Woy Jr.; and her precious granddaughter, McKenna Barber.
Vicki found joy in life’s simple pleasures- beach vacations with her husband, coffee chats with loved ones, and every moment spent with her family. She has a passion for crafting and was a regular at local craft fairs, often accompanied by her dear friend, Sonya Calhoun. Her warmth, laughter, and love filled every room she entered, and she had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel like family.
Professionally, Vicki worked for many years in logistics, a field she excelled in and truly enjoyed. She was employed at W.S. Thomas in Fairmont, where she built lasting friendships and created fond memories. Later, she worked at Gabe’s in Morgantown, where she retired-but returned part-time simply because she missed the people and the work she loved so much.
She will be remembered for her unwavering strength, her generous heart, and the deep love she poured into those around her. Vicki’s legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the friends she held dear, and the countless lives she touched.
The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. Friends will be received in the funeral home on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 from 3 pm until 8 pm. A graveside service of committal will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 11 am at the Grandview Memorial Gardens, 93 Grandview Cemetery Rd, Fairmont, WV 26554 with Father Kishore Varaparla, HGN officiating.
