Obituary of Lannie Ferrell "Bud" Propst

Lannie Ferrell “Bud” Propst, 74, of Fairmont, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at the Tygart Center in Fairmont. He was born on May 23, 1951 in Franklin, WV, the son of the late Grant and Edna (Harper) Propst. Lannie is survived by his daughter, Patti Housley of Charleston, WV, as well as several nieces and nephews. He attended Franklin High School and worked as a gas station operator with the Certified Oil Company. In his spare time, he enjoyed horses, fishing, hunting, and spending time in the great outdoors, especially the mountains. In addition to his parents, Lannie was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Lewis, brother, Barry Propst, and sister Nila Bland. The family would like to send a special thank you to the doctors and staff at the Tygart Center for all their care, compassion, and love. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. In accordance with Lannie’s wishes, cremation services will occur.
