
Obituary of Jeffrey Wayne Jamison
Jeffrey Wayne Jamison, 66, of Bridgeport, passed away at home on Monday, June 23, 2025. He was born on August 9, 1958 in Clarksburg, the son of Joyce A. Floyd Hartzell and the late H. Wayne Jamison.
In addition to his mother, Jeff is survived by his loving sons, Nathaniel and Caleb Jamison, both of Weston, sister, Jill Cooper and her husband Scott of Burnsville, niece and nephews, Megan, Jay, and Hunter Cooper, and former wife, Cinda Mullneix of Weston.
Jeff was a Methodist by faith and previously attended Stonecoal United Methodist Church. He was a proud 1976 graduate of Bridgeport High School. After high school, Jeff attended West Virginia University and graduated from Fairmont State University with a bachelor of science degree in History. He had a passion for studying history, especially the Civil War. For many years, Jeff worked as the Manager at Tilt in Bridgeport. On gamedays, Jeff could be found loudly cheering on the Indians and the Mountaineers. He was active in local theatre productions, including the Clarksburg Art Center, Act 2 Theatre Company, and Stage Crafters, where he served in all aspects ranging from set building, directing, and acting. His greatest joy was found spending precious time with his close friends and family, especially his sons.
In addition to his father, Jeff was preceded in death by his brother, Jay Jamison.

The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Allen Chapel, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport. In accordance with Jeff’s wishes, cremation services will occur. Friends will be received on Sunday, June 29, 2025 from 12 noon until 2 pm. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 2 pm with Reverend Steve Elderbrock officiating.
