Obituary of Mavis Ann Robinette Endicott

Mavis A. Endicott, 98, of Fairmont, passed away peacefully at Fazio’s Elder Care on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. She was born on November 4, 1926 in Boone County, WV, the daughter of the late Reginald and Ibbie Jarrell Robinette. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Russell C. Endicott, Sr. in May of 2019. She was a faithful member of Bethesda Baptist Church in Barrackville, where she enjoyed being apart of the Women’s Circle Group, helping with Funeral Dinners, cleaning, and Vacation Bible School. She was also employed at Hills Department Store for 8 years, as well as a homemaker. Her survivors include a daughter and son in law, Jenny and Allen Moore of Barrackville, and a son and daughter-in-law, Russell Charles Jr. and Donna Endicott of Salisbury, MD, five grandchildren, Tammy (David) Swiger and Mike (Cindy) Moore of Barrackville, Meredith Miller Shane (Kelsie) Endicott and Seth (Heather) Endicott of Maryland, eight great grandchildren, Courtney (Brad) Hamrick, Chelsea (Tyler) Clayton, Chase (Abby) Moore, Nick Moore, Paige Miller, Owen and Levi Endicott and Andrew Endicott, as well as four great- great grandchildren, Camden, Brooks and Cade Hamrick and Wren Clayton. She was also survived by a sister-in-law, Daisy (David) Reid, and a brother-in-law, Elmer Endicott, Jr, along with several nieces and a nephew. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Reginald E. Robinette Jr. at a young age, two sister-in-laws, Vivan Endicott and Gloria Jean Endicott, a brother-in-law Virgil P. Endicott, and a great-great grandson, Tripp Marshall Clayton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Mavis’s memory to Bethesda Baptist Church, 502 Pike Street, Barrackville, WV 26559. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public services. A private committal service will be held at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Fairmont with Pastor David Cyphers officiating.
