
Obituary of Richard Mark Woody
Richard Mark Woody, 70, of Grafton passed away unexpectantly at his residence on Monday, June 2, 2025. He was born in Fairmont on September 2, 1954 to Richard L Woody and the late Dorothy L. Kuroski Woody.
Mark was raised on Barnes Street in Fairmont, attended State Street School, and was a 1972 graduate of East Fairmont High School. He worked for Foodland Grocery for several years before beginning his carrier with UPS where he was a driver and later worked in the loading department. After retirement, he worked at the High Life Lounge at the Middletown Mall.
Mark enjoyed spending time at his camp at the Grafton Dam and loved to fish. Mark always owned a motorcycle and enjoyed spending time on the road. He was known to cut his grass more than weekly. He loved his blue heeler pup, “Mia”.
In addition to his father, Mark is survived by his aunt Penny Kuroski Merrifield and her husband John of Fairmont and well as several cousins.
In addition to his mother, Mark was preceded in death by his aunts and uncles, Warren and Lois Woody, Bob and Mary (Woody) Ice, Judy (Woody) Phillips, Earl and Genevieve (Woody) Stewart, Jim Kuroski, John Kuroski, and Mary Jean Finnerin.
