Obituary of Marjorie Louise Davis

Marjorie Louise Davis, 91, of Fairmont, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2025 at the Fairmont Medical Center. She was born on January 17, 1934 in Braxton County, the daughter of the late Russell and Carrie Singleton Bragg. Marjorie was a Methodist by faith and a proud graduate of Rivesville High School. She faithfully worked as an employee in the sealed beam department for 38 years at Phillips Lighting Company in Fairmont. She also worked for 9 years at the Fairmont General Hospital in the food service department. Marjorie was very active in her community as she was a member of the Fairmont Eagles Auxiliary No. 2373, American Legion Auxiliary Post 17, V.F.W. No. 629 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Fairmont Circle Women’s Club, IUE Local 627. Marjorie is survived by her children, two sons, Gary Davis and his wife July of Montana Mines Community, and Tom Davis of Rivesville, one daughter, Debbie Kozlowski and her husband Steve of Apache Junction, AZ, four grandchildren, Stephanie and Megan Kozlowski, Mark Carl, and Adam Davis, two great grandchildren, Josh and Miles Davis, and one great-great granddaughter, Stevie Davis. She is also survived by three brothers, Charles, Kenny, and Gene Bragg, two sisters, Helen Kennedy and Bernice Kniceley, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by one grandson, Tommy Davis, one daughter-in-law, Juila Davis, two sisters, Carolyn Wright and Edna Shaw, four brothers, Boyd, Bernard, and Fred Bragg, and an infant brother. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second Street, Rivesville. Friends will be received on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 10 am until 1 pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 1 pm with Reverend Stanley Merrifield officiating. In accordance with Marjorie’s wishes cremation service will occur.
