In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his father Harry Leon and his wife Theodora “Teddy” McBee. Above all, Roger loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He would light up every time he had an opportunity to share the Gospel message, whether from behind a pulpit or one-on-one. He also loved spending time with his family whether sharing a meal, watching a movie, or talking about life. Another thing that could always make Roger light up was his grandchildren. Roger had a variety of hobbies and interests, which helped him become a Jack-of-all-trades. He met his wife while teaching ballroom dancing. He enjoyed tinkering with all things mechanical and electronic. He taught his daughters how to maintain and repair their vehicles and other household items. Roger enjoyed going to the shooting range, the movies, and going out to dinner. Roger never knew a stranger. He was blessed with the gift of gab and knew how to tell a story. Roger was a giver who loved everyone. Whether he was giving of his time, his knowledge, or his possessions Roger gave freely without expecting anything in return.
