Obituary of Charles Timothy "Tim" Post
Charles Timothy “Tim” Post, 43, of Winchester, VA, formerly of Fairmont, passed away on March 20, 2025 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA, following an ongoing illness. He was born on April 27, 1981 in Clarksburg, WV. Tim was the firstborn son of Charles and Kitty (Arnett) Post.
Tim grew up in the Calvary Temple Church and was a 1999 graduate of Fairmont Senior High School and a 2003 graduate of Marshall University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Tim worked for the United States Department of Defense as an Accountant for over 15 years.
Tim was an avid golfer and die-hard Mountaineer fan. He was a collector of various things such as Matchbox Cars, NFL Jerseys, and vintage video games. He most enjoyed taking trips and spending time with his family and friends, particularly his little brothers and most of all, his son.
Tim will be remembered for his infectious laughter, his strongly held and vigorously defended opinions, his warm smile, and soft-hearted nature. Often appearing quiet and reserved, he became playful and goofy around those close to him. He wore his heart on his sleeve and felt every emotion to its fullest. He was fiercely loyal and loving, and always willing to fight for what he believed was right.
In addition to his parents, Tim is survived by his son, Cooper Thomas Post, his wife Alison Marie Kurtz Post of Winchester, VA, his brothers, Chad Thomas and his wife Brittany Harmon Post of Cathedral City, C.A., and Clay Thomas Post of Fairmont, WV, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be sadly missed by them all and so many others.
The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. Family and friends may visit the Calvary Temple Church, 28 Calvary Lane, Fairmont, WV 26554 on Tuesday, March 25 from 1PM until 8PM and on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 10AM until 11AM.
