Obituary of Jonathan Lawrence Carroll

Jonathan Lawrence Carroll, 35, of Rivesville, passed away Monday, March 17, 2025. He was born in Fairmont on May 9, 1989, a son of Bill and Gloria Jean Huffman McClain and father Jason Carroll. In addition to his parents, Jonathan is survived by his grandparents, Jerry and Vickie Huffman, his aunt, Lana Curran, and his cousins, Brooke and Dylan Curran. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Terry Huffman, and his grandparents, Peggy and Paul Carroll. Jonathan was a gifted mechanic and served his country in the United States Army Reserves. He enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles, playing baseball, cooking, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed his time with the Boy Scouts of America, swimming, the outdoors, and wildlife. The family has asked donations to be made in Jonathan’s name to the Humane Society at 2731 Locust Avenue, Fairmont, WV 26554. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second Street, Rivesville, WV 26588. Friends will be received in the funeral home on Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 1p.m. until 2p.m. A memorial service will be held at 2p.m. with Reverend Alan Rosenberger officiating.
