Obituary of Terry Lee Paxton

Terry lee Paxton (71) of Fairmont, WV passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. He was born on December 24, 1953 a son to the late Donald Paxton Sr. and Betty Shuttlesworth Paxton. In addition to his parents, terry was preceded in death by his loving wife Juanita Paxton of Georgia, and grandson Justin smith. He is survived by 1 daughter, Terri smith (Brian) of Georgia, and 1 son, Michael Paxton (Leeann). He is also survived by 2 step sons; John Singleton and George Singleton, 4 step daughters: Jeannie singleton, Angela Bynum, Amanda wood, and Amy Reiden. He also had several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Terry had 5 brothers and two sisters. He will be greatly missed by his long-time close friend, Helen Dillow of Fairmont and his friends from Marion Unity Apartment, Judy, Elanore, Steve, Tom, Pam, Cindy, Marilyn, and Gina. Terry was a protestant by faith and enjoyed the fellowship with his close friends. He worked in food service as a cook, dishwasher, and cleaning for many years. He enjoyed his bus rides to the mall, the outdoors, fishing, and cracking jokes. He loved his coffee, smoking his cigars, and eating snack cakes. He was a big-time wrestling fan as well. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. A private celebration of life will be held for the family at a later date.
