Obituary of Mary Golden Bevard

Mary Golden Bevard, 84, of Fairmont, West Virginia passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025 in the John Manchin Health Care Hospital, Fairmont, WV. She was born June 13, 1940 in Manchester, Maryland, a daughter of the late John Burns Bevard and Dorothy Louise Murphy Bevard. She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Bevard of the Virgin Islands and Rebecca Almony of Hawaii, four brothers, John Bevard, Gerald Bevard, Charles Bevard & Michael Bevard all of Manchester, Maryland, two sisters, Ilene Zumbrum of Hanover, PA and Janet Shaffer of Hampstead, Maryland, and four grandchildren. Mary was a homemaker and had previously operated her own seamstress shop. She was a proud 1957 graduate of North Carroll County High School and the Strayer Business College. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. All funeral services will be held privately for the family.
