Adabel "Ada" Haun November 7, 1924 – February 14, 2025 Adabel "Ada" Haun, 100, of Rivesville, WV, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025. She was born on November 7, 1924, in Flemington, WV, to the late Clarence and Willa Crouse. Ada was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jonathan Paul Haun; her children, Ronald L. Haun, Paul L. Haun, and infant daughter Wanda Lou Haun; and her brothers, Charles "Sonny" Crouse, Carl Crouse, Bill Crouse, and John Crouse, and her sisters, Norma "Jean" Marple and Mildred Leach. She is survived by her daughters-in-law, Ruth Ann Haun and Connie Haun; grandchildren, Ronnie (Lora) Haun, Terri (Brad) Dunbar, and Jonathan (Kari) Haun; great-grandchildren Brandon Haun, Andrew Haun, Maggie Hall, Nathan Dunbar, Gavin Dunbar, and Wesley Haun; great-great-grandchildren, Addison Haun and Aspen Efaw; and several special nieces and nephews. Ada was known far and wide for her exceptional quilting skills, having gifted dozens of beautiful quilts to friends and family. Ada also enjoyed bowling and crafting for much of her life. A devout Christian and member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union (WCTU), she lived her faith through acts of generosity and kindness. She was a dedicated member and song leader for Royal Chapel United Methodist in Rivesville for many years. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel special. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, at 207 Second Street, Rivesville, WV. Friends and family are welcome to visit on Thursday, February 20, from 2:00pm to 8:00pm, and on Friday, February 21, from 10:00am to 11:00am. The funeral will be held at DeGarmo Chapel at 11:00am with Reverend Stanley Merrifield officiating. Interment will follow at the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
