Alan W. Frank passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, at the home of Tisha and Travis Olsen in Harvest, Alabama. In recent years, Alan and his beloved wife, Linda Jo, had relocated from Bridgeport to Harvest due to declining health. Alan is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Jo Frank, with whom he shared 41 years of marriage. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Tisha Olsen of Harvest and Neil Heldreth of Philippi, West Virginia; his sister, Brenda Shultz of Denver, Colorado; and grandchildren MIA, Bryn, and Blake Estep of Harvest. He is further survived by his great-grandson, Emmett; William Michael Gatlin; Shari Carpenter and her daughters, Shana and Whitney; cousins Betty and Dick Bennett; nephews Jason Shultz and his wife Emily and their family, Ryan Shultz and his wife Michelle and their family, John W. Frank and his family and his niece, Susan Reid, and her husband Ben and their family. Alan was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nelly Beatrice Reed Frank; his older brother, John Michael Frank; and his paternal and maternal grandparents. Alan grew up in Bridgeport and spent most of his life there. He was proud to be a member of the Bridgeport High School Class of 1969. Known for his strong work ethic, Alan began his career with the City of Bridgeport as a firefighter and later worked for many years with Philip Morris Tobacco. After leaving Philip Morris, he continued working various jobs before joining K & M Service Company, where he spent many years working alongside his longtime friend, Mike Conley. Alan was known as a hardworking and dependable man who never shied away from long hours or demanding work. Even in difficult conditions, he was often known to outwork men much younger than himself, including many long days spent shoveling snow. He took pride in helping others and often mowed lawns and shoveled sidewalks for neighbors who needed a helping hand. After relocating to Harvest, Alan had little interest in slowing down. He took a position with Southern Jamm Security and continued working until health issues eventually required him to step away. In his later days, he enjoyed spending quiet time with his wife, Linda. Although he had not regularly attended church in recent years, Alan had been baptized in the Baptist Church and held his faith close to his heart. His family takes comfort in knowing he has been welcomed into the arms of his Heavenly Father. In accordance with his wishes, Alan was cremated and no formal services were held.
