Fred was a wonderful classmate of mine in law school. I practiced in Logan and Fred was a special judge in several high profile Logan County cases in the 1970’s. I enjoyed our conversations during his visits to Logan.

Joe and family - so sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. I had not seen him for many years but I remember him as an outstanding, very nice man going back to my first meeting him when we played for the FOP Colts. My family has always had tremendous affection and respect for him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Best - Kevin Sidow

Joe and Family My sincere condolences to you and your family in the loss of your father. He was such a great role model and inspiration to so many individuals in Marion County and in the state of WV. Many who knew him personally and others knowing him only by name. May God wrap his arms around you and your family during this time to bless you with comfort, love and peace. May you find peace and comfort in the many loving memories you have of your father. Your family was blessed to have such an honorable man in your life. May God continue to bless each of you! Sincerely, Monica Dublin Ferguson XOXO

A truly GREAT man who I loved very much! I grew up seeing my uncle as "Larger Than Life"...........being a soldier and judge. As I got older, I began to see him as a true American Hero and Advocate for Justice. May God Rest His Soul!!!

My sincere condolences to the family. I worked with Judge Fox when I worked in the Prosecutor's office. He was a very special person. So kind and friendly, and a very honorable judge. He was always willing to help out with any problem and was never worried about setting a precedence. He was very open to my suggestion (pleading) to set one concerning the rescue of a child at birth from its abusive parents. We had already taken the 3 older (still toddlers) siblings, when I learned the mother was pregnant. I could not stand the thought of another child being abused, so Monty Brown told me to right it up and present it to Judge Fox. He, as usual, made me make my supporting reasons for the petition, told me there was no precedence, but made it one. He made me feel important when he listened to me like that. He was one of the most influential people in my life. I'm truly sorry to see him go, but know he is in the best place ever. He will be missed.
