I remember Megan being my very first friend at Bobtown Elementary in kindergarten through 2nd grade until I transferred to a different school district my 3rd grade year. I was bullied A LOT at Bobtown, but Megan was always so sweet and a kind little girl to me. I don’t think I ever saw her again after I transferred, but her friendship back then made all the difference for a shy and sad little girl and I remember her fondly. My heartfelt condolences for her family and friends.

I had the pleasure of having Megan in my English class her junior year at Mapletown High School. She was a joy—always smiling and happy. She was respectful, polite and kind. She always worked hard in class and particularly enjoyed doing my book project assignments, and she aced them with her crafting and creative flair! She was sweet and sometimes silly, always in touch with her inner child and her playful spirit. It was during this time that she began dating Joe. She talked about him all the time with puppy dog eyes and an innocent giddiness in her voice. It’s been a treat to watch her evolve into a beautiful woman, wife and mother through the years. I have no doubt her little family was her greatest purpose and fulfillment. She clearly poured her whole self into Zayleigh giving her all the love and attention any child could ever need and documenting every bit of it. It is so heartbreaking that she is gone, but she will shine on through those who love her. My prayers are with Joe, Zay, and all who loved her. Rest easy, Sweet Megan.

Megan was a beautiful wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin and loved by so many other family members and good friends. Working with her at the CDC was a delight. She always had a smile on her face and was so friendly. I remember being so happy for her and Joe when she became pregnant. I loved how she shared beautiful family photos on fb; especially of Zay, whom she was so devoted to everyday. Megan made everyday a fun adventure. I believe that the celebration has begun in heaven and the banquet table has been set. Family and friends gathered as she crossed from the light into Jesus's arms. Another Angel has arrived. I know that Michelle and Gwen, two previous CDC teachers who have passed, greeted Megan with loving arms and are showing her the beauty and wonders of heaven. Fly free, Megan.
