I met Mike at Loveridge Coal mine. Mike was a blast to work around. He always made everyone around him laugh. He will be missed. My condolences to the family.

Mike was a great guy and one of the best maintenance foremen I ever worked alongside. He always had a smile for you, enjoyed the coal mine talk on the front porch and could fix anything in the mine. He will be missed! RIP Mike.

Mike will be missed by many. I first met Mike riding the school bus when I was in Junior High in Grafton WV. For some reason I had stuck my tongue out at Mike and he reached down and got dirt off the bus floor and stuck it on my tongue. I pretty sure he told me to stick it out a second time when he did this. We laughed about it later. You couldn’t stay mad at Mike. Then when I was teaching the foremen in the coal mines how to use a computer, I seen Mike again. We remembered that day on the bus and he said thought I would get back at him for putting the dirt on my tongue, but I didn’t do anything. We just laughed about the memory and went on. Sorry for this loss for all family and friends. May God comfort you and give you strength in the days to come.

Daddy, I can't even begin to find the words to express how much we all miss and love you! From the day you picked me up at the airport on July 27th, I made a promise & commitment to walk this difficult journey with you and mom to the very end and I couldn't be more grateful and honored to do so! Thank you so much for everything you have been throughout my life and loving each and every one of us in our own special way!! As hard as it was to let you go, I find comfort in knowing you are no longer in pain and finally in the arms of your "BIG JESUS"! We both love more, daddy! Forever your Toot-Toot ❤️
