I worked with Chris for a few years at the Assessor's Office, and he was always willing to help me anytime I needed it, whether it be work-related or personal. We shared a lot of laughs, and he was never at a loss for words. He will be missed. I want to send my condolences to all of Chris's family and friends, as does everyone here at the office.

I met Chris at the Pittsburgh Civic Arena on a Friday night for WWF Wrestling. We sat beside each other at ringside. I was wearing a Fairmont State jersey and he asked if I went to school there or was I from Fairmont. i said yes to both questions. We saw each other now and then through the years and one day he showed up at my house and said he was from the Asessor office. i said you don't remember me, do you? I told him about the night in Pittsburgh and he replied, that was a long time ago and we talked for a while until he said i have many more stops to make. i never saw him after that, but never forgot him. So sorry to hear this.

Chris was a long time friend and was never at a loss for a witty comment in any circumstance. He was always at the ready to help anyone, with any project, and could tackle just about any problem. As an outdoorsman, Chris was quick to befriend Judy's dad, Virgil Starkey, who loved hunting, fishing and anything in the outdoor sporting arena. We send our sincere condolences, Nathaniel, to you and the entire family. Chris will certainly be missed by all who loved him.

Chris was our neighbor during one of the hardest times in my life. Him, and his family, was always there to help my girls and me. He loved to give the girls popsicles/hot chocolate and to let me sample whatever food he was making in his smoker. So sorry to hear that he passed.
