Obituary of Jennie Shumiloff Hibbs

Jennie Shumiloff Hibbs, age 84, of Rivesville, WV passed away in Boone, NC on May 29, 2016. She was born December 31, 1931 in Ellsworth, PA, daughter of the late Peter and Alexandria Shumiloff. Jennie was preceded in death by her loving husband Merrill Francis Hibbs in 1977. Survivors include: son Merrill Hibbs and wife Lynette Orbovich of Boone, NC; son Kelly Hibbs and wife Melissa Hibbs of Beaufort, SC; daughter Tracey Hibbs-Coville and husband Rico Coville of Wheeling WV; granddaughters Dusty Mathews and Husband Stephen Mathews of McMurray, PA; Jessica Hibbs-Kemp and husband Tom Kemp of Rivesville, WV; grandson Tanner Cheuvront of Wheeling, WV; Mattie Hibbs of Beaufort, SC. Great-granddaughter Scout Mathews and great-grandson Luka Kemp. Sisters Nija and Katy Shumiloff of Booth, WV and Margaret (PeeWee) Lemanowicz of Morgantown, WV. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by Sisters Susan and Valentina Shumiloff, Vera Spradlin and Brothers Charlie, William (Leftie), John, Mike, and Alex Shumiloff. Jennie was absolutely full of love for her family, sacrificing much to care for them. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enriched our lives tremendously and will be forever missed. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity, and do an unexpected act of kindness for someone and brighten their life, the same way Jennie did so many times throughout her whole life. The viewing and funeral service will be on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second St., Rivesville, WV 26588. The viewing will be from 9:00 until 11:00. Funeral Services will be at 11:00. Officiating will be Reverend William Page. Burial will follow at the Arnettsville Cemetery.
