Obituary of Twila B. Hays Wooddell

Twila B. Hays Wooddell, 83, of Dublin, Ohio, formerly of Fairmont, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  She was born in Fairmont, WV on November 9, 1934, a daughter of the late Dannie E. and Elmira McIntyre Hays.  Twila graduated from East Fairmont High School in 1952.  She was employed at First National Bank in Fairmont, the Bureau of Public Debt in Parkersburg, WV, and the Weston National Bank and Citizens Bank of Weston, WV.  
Twila is survived by three sons, Steve and his wife Sandy Wooddell of Dublin, Ohio, Dave Wooddell and his wife Lisa Ladu of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Kevin Wooddell of Belpre, Ohio, a daughter Joyce and her husband Paul Phillips of Fairmont, and a step-daughter Amy Beth and her husband Lowell Maxey of Bridgeport, WV.  She is also survived by five grandchildren, one great grandchild, 2 step-grandchildren and 5 step great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Twila was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Guy Wooddell, Jr.,  one brother Dannie Ralph Hays, and three sisters, Alice Pearl Tucker, Vivian M. Baxter and Della Berneda Hays in infancy.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the American Heart Association, West Virginia Region, 162 Court Street, Charleston, WV 25301.  At the request of Mrs. Wooddell cremation services have taken place.  Friends and family may visit the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.  A memorial service will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM with Pastor Timothy Edin officiating.  Online condolences may be made to www.fordfuneralhomes.com.
