Obituary of Joan Westfall

Joan Westfall, 78, of Kingmont, West Virginia died Friday, February 3, 2017 at her residence. She was born November 9, 1938 in Waynesburg, PA a daughter of the late Donald Alston Dudley & Minnie Colland Dudley. She is survived by a son Donald DeWayne Eddy of Baxter, WV, a daughter and her companion Denise Arlene Eddy & David Oaks both of Fairmont, WV, a brother and sister in law Donald Guilford & Gloria Jean Dudley of Ohio, a sister and brother in law Lillian Elizabeth & Frank Jardine of California, three grandchildren Amber Jo Painter, Derick Painter & Rickie Lea Painter, three great grandchildren Dayton Painter, Hunter Ballon & Braxton Painter, many nieces & nephews and several special friends. Joan was preceded in death by a son Thomas Glenn Eddy, a sister Donna Mae Pysell and a great grandchild Chandra Painter. Mrs. Westfall was the owner and operator of Joan’s Beauty Salon in Fairmont and Mannington for 36 years. She also was formerly employed by the Westinghouse Corporation in the Seal Beam Department, Glass Plant and Bulb Preparation Plant. Joan was a member of the Kingmont United Methodist Church and served as a representative to charge conference. She was a 1957 graduate of Fairview High School, a member of the Kingmont Auxiliary, Montana Mines Homemakers and the Ponderosa Riding Club. The family will friends at the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554 Monday, February 6, 2017 from 3-5p.m. & 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Gary Steele and Pastor Bob Barr officiating.
